Dear Senior Parent,
Plans are underway for a special event honoring the senior class at Robert E. Lee High School. We are celebrating their accomplishments by hosting Project Graduation—an all-night lock-in alcohol-free, drug-free graduation party that is organized for students with help from parents, school staff and business people in the community. Project Graduation provides an environment where seniors don’t have to deal with peer pressure to consume alcohol or other drugs or ride with a driver who is under the influence on that special night.
Project Graduation is a costly event to hold, but we know that providing a fun-filled alternative to drinking and driving will far outweigh the expense. We plan to make this a memorable event by organizing a variety of exciting activities, entertainment, food and prizes. We want our seniors to enjoy this last chance to share memories as the class of 2023 and create new ones to cherish for years to come.
Project Graduation will cost $25 to attend and registration will be open soon. However, there are opportunities for your senior to not only attend free of charge but also gain more entries (Ganderbucks) into prize drawings that will take place that night.
This is how it works:
$25 donation will gain you entry and 1- “Ganderbuck” (GPG-Money that gives your senior access to win prizes) Every additional $50 donated to Gander Project Grad on your senior’s behalf in cash or in-kind (food, activities, prizes etc) donations is another Ganderbuck.
Want your senior to volunteer their way in? That is an option as well. 10 volunteer hours will gain free entry and 1 Ganderbuck (GPG-MONEY) EVERY volunteer hour OVER 10 is another Ganderbuck
We have made it easy to ask your friends and family for help all you need to do is CLICK HERE or the button below, enter your Senior’s info and then share your link to friends and family and we will keep up with the rest. When you sign up it will automatically create an individual fundraising account or you can recruit others to help you by creating a team. If you decide to create a team, make sure that your senior’s name is included somewhere in the “Team Name” to get proper credit. Prefer a paper donation form? CLICK HERE to download
Lastly, we are almost ready to open registration, but we are hoping that you can give us an idea if your senior, a guest, and maybe even you will be joining us that night. This will really help us in our planning to ensure we will have enough activities for everyone and an idea of how many volunteers we will have. (We will also add an extra Ganderbuck to your seniors account by filling out the survey)
